Spring?

The snow has been melting like crazy and the sun has been shining for the past many days! I LOVE this time of the year! It means summer is on the way and always gives me an energy boost.

I finally finished my sign in the porch! I found the boards out in the yard this fall and had glued them together and painted/distressed the boards. It sat painted blue in the porch for awhile before I finally got around to getting the 'welcome' on it (end of November-ish??), then sat and sat and sat some more until last night I sat down and finished it.

And a calendar board that I had picked up at a garage sale a few years back had just been sitting in the backroom...I pulled out my chalkboard paint and gave it a new purpose ;) Super easy project and (bonus!) it was already painted red (my fave). I gave it a wash for the picture so it was all wet and not normally so streaky looking.

The sunshine lately has been giving me some awesome motivation! I have been getting some projects done and have been busy doing some 'spring' cleaning. It feels great to be getting things done around here!
